Burton Morris created pop art graphics that were used on the set of the iconic tv show “Friends” over the course of its 10-season reign. Today wraps up a 5-day auction of Morris’ first-ever NFT collection titled The Art of Friends. The collection consists of twelve original art gallery items that adorned the set behind the infamous orange couch in Central Perk coffee shop. In total, eleven of the NFTs were auctioned off including Coffee Cup, King Kong, Lady Liberty, and more. Big Hitter, the renowned work that began Morris' enduring partnership with "Friends," is available as a limited-edition item with bidding starting at $US 150.
When asked about his first NFT collection Morris replied: "The future of these iconic works are now in the hands of the fans that made "Friends" one of the most beloved series in television history. Adding that even “25 years later, collectors and fans can own and immortalize the show's influence through The Art of Friends for generations to come."
